Studio Kahaani brings you a curated collection of rugs, sourced directly from artisans in southern India. These sustainable pieces are hand-woven from pure cotton, then block printed using traditional Kalamkari techniques and non-toxic vegetable dyes.

Kalamkari has a 3000 year old history, and is a labour intensive craft involving over 23 stages of production spanning many days. The rugs directly support the livelihood of artisan communities in rural India, and bring their vibrant stories and traditions to life in your home.

Our rugs are easy to care for and durable. Variations and minor imperfections in colour, pattern, and texture are to be expected and make each handcrafted piece truly unique.
